The Bank

The beautifully restored and historic Bank guesthouse is situated in the heart of Rosendal’s heritage district.

The house consists of a main house with dining and living rooms, kitchen and master bedroom. The living room—which was the former banking hall—has a warm wood stove, pressed tin ceiling and wine cellar housed in the former bank vault. Dining room with large dining table, floor to ceiling library and comfy fire place. Home is well insulated—below floor and above ceiling—for those chilly Free State winters. Master bedroom includes claw-foot bathtub and fireplace. The thatched roof cottage in the garden includes two double beds—one in a loft and accessed by ladder—and shared bathroom. Covered stoep with table and chairs for outdoor dining.
